New Year, New Shopping Habits: Sustainability And Style Initiative
Going to college in California, I was expecting to come back as a hiking obsessed, green juice loving, tan and blonde beach babe. In reality, I became a full on tree hugger. After learning about social, economic and environmental effects of the fashion industry I knew something had to change. I can no longer bring myself to purchase clothes that were made by the hands of exploited factory workers and contributed to the degradation of this planet I live on. So this is my New Year’s resolution of sorts.
One Dress Three Ways: Wetseal Crossback Dress
From the moment I tried this dress on, I knew I would be wearing it all the time. The only thing is that I can’t wear a bodycon dress out and about all the time! I fooled around a bit and I found some more casual and unique ways to wear this crossback dress! . Number 1: Black and White and Black and White Black and white prints are huge this summer, and mixing them together is all the rage. I paired this comfy bodycon dress underneath loose harem pants. Dress: Wetseal | Pants: Forever 21 | Shoes: Converse All Star . Number 2: Studs on Studs This look is the most casual of the three. The denim vest and flats really dress the outfit down, but still makes it super cute! Dress: Wetseal | Vest: Forever 21 | Flats: Forever 21 Number 3: Backwards Beauty This is by far my favorite of the three looks. While quickly throwing on the dress, I put it on backwards! I surprisingly fell in love with the front triangular cutout it formed which is super popular on the runways and on the streets this season! Dress: c/o Wetseal | Skirt: Urban Outfitters | Shoes: Old Navy Photography by Kathryn McSherry . Make sure you pick up your own Wetseal crossback dress HERE so you can make your own looks!
